Hi Frank,
I think my last 4 months here in Jacumba have not been long enough to determine my average seeing conditions yet. When I first arrived in early March, seeing was horrible. Very strong winds and regular Pacific storm fronts made for Antoniadi IV and V's. It's only been in the last 6 weeks or so that conditions have improved. Though it is still windy in the afternoons here, it calms down toward the evening. Lately I've experienced Ant. III to I's. However, my neighbor, who has lived here his entire 78 years says that we are just about to start the monsoon season. As if on cue it rained yesterday and clouded out the crescent Moon I was so eager to sketch!
Jim, Thank you so much for your very kind words!

Rich,
I just wandered over to Charles A. Wood's Lunar Photo of the Day(LPOD) site and found that Dr. Wood could not resist posting an incredible sketch and write-up made by you. He never had a choice, resistance would have been futile. Congratulations, it is a fantastic sketch. http://lpod.wikispaces.com/June+27%2C+2009

Frank, it was your idea to submit this one, so I guess you were right all along. Chuck has so many excellent images and sketches submitted to him everyday, it is truly an honor to be selected. I also feel very happy that he publishes my commentary as he rarely does that with most submissions. You know the feeling yourself, having had sketches on LPOD in the past. Thank you Frank! And thank you Chuck!
P.S. I'm beginning to feel like the Borg.
