Thanks gents.
With regards to the sky conditions during the observations, seeing average to good on short times, I think it is possible to go deeper especially on Mars where the elevation was only 15° above horizon.
It is amazing to watch clouding on Mars with a 100mm.
Here just raw sketches taken at the eyepiece.
Since last year, october, only 4-6" are possible due to worst seeing here near Paris.

Thanks.
This is an Istar achromat 100mm F12, slightly better than the 100mm vixen elite that I had also and better than a 100ED sky watcher that I had too.

Stanislas,
Nice work on both planets and thanks for the Mars report. Always fun to see clouds on Mars--pretty cool that you could see and identify Argyre.

As far as Stanislas reporting the Chryse region as clear, people should understand that the Chryse region is historically one of the places on Mars where dust storms begin so it's always a good idea to check it out if it is in view.

Thanks Michael for the comments.
Actually, no need to use 24" scopes for making a survey of Mars, moderate aperture can do on some main topics.
Chryse is effectively clear but it seems that we have also a kind of EBC. Difficult to identify but sustained with the 100mm but say a 150mm could reveal it more conspisciously and with a better seeing.
Stanislas-Jean

Thanks a lot.
The eye probably, the scope surely but also long term of visual applications.
