Hey, Welcome and Congrats Mike!
You definitely have the "years of experience" to moderate this group!
Is this supposed to be part of an early Birthday present for you? I'm sure you're going to make LOTS of money and get HUGE discounts now that you're a moderator!

Thanks you everybody! I told Don I hover around, dip into and have more astro-buds in the ATM forum more than any of the rest, offered to share modding it, and he welcomed the offer.
I joined Cloudy Nights years ago to finally find a friendly, moderated, professional and fun place to visit and swap experiences with other ATM's, astrophotographers, etc. without the nastiness and venom of unmoderated newsgroups. All of us here have the same goal and responsibility, to keep this and all other CN forums a pleasant place to visit, a safe place for kids to read, and to keep CN out of legal trouble (copyright violations, etc.). I've just finished re-studying the TOS again, and OK, it's not all THAT bad a read; everyone should brush up on it now and then. The goal is to make moderator jobs boring, with nothing to get all whuffed up about.
So with that, Jess, I will indeed remain objective, and will mirror and channel every knife-edge sharp experience without a trace of caustic, gritty commentary, and pitch only the most polished ideas forth, within the zonal boundaries of good taste....
OK it's late and I can't think of any more puns Mike

Yes, nothing turns my edge up, reduces my down pressure and lifts me up from the pits of my central depressions more than BAD optics puns! But be careful that they are not too ronchi.
