Nick, the enhanced beam splitter is a option on the EarthWin. Just ask Bill Dankmeyer about it if you are thinking about placing an order.

Sorry Fred1, but the enhanced beam splitter is NOT available as of last month. Bill D is now working on a new and much improved binoviewer system with a hopeful rollout next spring. You heard it here first!

Newbie Alert!!!
I have recently acquired a PFS-DSE and have some questions. A)What is the 3 magnifications with an SCT (or Mak)
1)with single eyepiece's
2)with a Binoviewer
B)What is the 3 magnifications with a Refractor + CLC
1)with single eyepiece's
2)with a Binoviewer
Also, Do I use the 2X Corrector Lens Cell that came with the EarthWin or the 1.6X OCS that came with the Binoviewer?
Thanks in advance
Mike

Mike, the instructions you need are right here on the EarthWin site.

ps: if you still have questions, call Bill Dankmeyer or John Gilles at the number on the site.

Fred, I searched the site and have found the figures for the PFS-D which are for E/W unit and Diagonal used with a Binoviewer. The PFS-SE doesn't have the Diagonal attached and the instructions inform you to place the E/W unit INTO your Refractor or SCT and then place the Diagonal into the E/W. I thought this would yield different magnifications as I know a 2X Barlow becomes 3X when placed before the Diagonal.

That website is actually The old link. I called Bill and he directed me to the new site below

http://www.earthwinoptical.com/index.html

The PFS-DSE is accessed by selecting the middle picture.
