[Re: desertstars]       #3157104 - 06/11/09 08:26 AM Edit   Reply   Quote Quick Reply   It's my understanding that none of the plants drawn in the manuscript have ever been identified, other than a very iffy ID of a sunflower. Since the sunflower is a western hemisphere plant, this idea was used to tentatively date the manuscript to post-1492. It's so strange; all the detailed drawings, in color, of plants that don't exist! Unknown plants, written about in an unknown language by an unknown author (or possibly authors).
