I'll second what Josh has to say about the MN-56. Had two of them years ago and wish I had kept one. The optics were stellar and the views terrific for the size aperture.

I had a mini star party at my house about a year ago. Here are the cats: Celestron C14, Celestron C8, Meade LX200ACF 8", and Meade 6" SN. I also had a 6" dob set up just outside of the frame of this shot, but it doesn't count as a cat or cass.

Hi Wade,

Nice shot! But from the looks of that scope collection, it appears that maybe it was the scopes who were having the party and that you might have been there only as an innocent bystander!

Phil

The scopes partied until sundown.

After that, I had about 15 kids out there looking through them for several hours. They had a great time.

David, Nice set up.
Does the C9.25 ota swing through the fork arms?
It looks like it does.

It does quite easily with three inches of clearance between the back end of my 2" star diagonal and the base of the fork. Here is a shot of one of my fellow club members Dave Churilla (the guy in the funny hat) with his CPC 9.25 equipped with an aftermarket external focuser at the same event:

I have problems like that all the time with any scope equipped with a big star diagonal, so I just turn my cap around (or I don't wear it while observing). Clear skies to you.
