Other side has the thermal control system on it. Both Primary and secondary are heated with automatic control of the fans also.

That must be one heck of a scope, because it's brought more than just cloud cover to Oklahoma!!!

Hope you post some astro photos taken with that beauty! I'd love to see them!!

I know!!! We've been dodging tornadoes since I've got it!!
Last night after two storms went through we had clear skies so I rush out and uncover, open, and turn on everything only to have the clouds roll in as soon as I get started.

Is everything still there? Because of the tornado...

Yeah we are fine here but OK City got hit hard. They are estimating F-4 size and it took out either one or two schools and some students perished and are missing. Sad to hear.

Glad you are okay from the tornado's, news is saying they may be the strongest ever on record. If I have to read about another child hurt or killed I'll lose it.
Amazing scope though, use it well and I hope to see some pics you take in the future.

Most of the reports I've seen have it hovering on the F4-F5 line. Certainly not one of the strongest ever. But it may go down as the tornado that hit the most sensitive areas. A school hit, during a school day with not much warning is about the worst case scenario.

Thoughts and prayers to all in the area.

Ok, so suddenly this thread reads as unbelievably bad taste after what has just happened. Yes, the posts were here, first.

But out of respect for the dead, let's stop this thread.

I agree. That's why I just deleted my post. With all the misery and heartbreak here in Oklahoma, I felt my post, although posted before the tragedy happened, was no longer appropriate.

Agreed. I'll post up a separate thread of a review of the scope after I get to use it, dial in the "V" curves for focus and get the time to get familiar with it. So far, It looks very well built and with a lot of nice touches. The Primary and secondary baffle tubes are flocked on the inside, flat black on the outside instead of the shiny black finish you see on alot of scopes.

Beautiful telescope! However, you brought a lot more than cloud cover to Oklahoma.

Super telescope and let us know about your first light! Sad to hear about big damage in Moore in OK a few days ago. Oklahoma is tornado alley!

Add this to your home insurance if you haven't done so already.

I don't think you need to lock the thread but perhaps change the title.
