I got through. apprarently the retention bracket for the screw can also come out, and voila! 10 degrees north!

what is s2?
not so horrible - first shots
you need a little practice
925 can do great planetary

sorry, I meant that I shot it with a galaxy S2 put to the eyepiece so the quality would be not good. The scope itself is fantastic! sorry for the miscommunication. :-)

I am having a bit of an issue though. Its the GoTo. I need time to figure it out. I lined up polaris and put the info in the key pad. Lined up saturn and can GoTo it with no problem. Using that alignment doesn't allow me to catch and DSO. do I need to do the star alignment for DSO and a separate one for solar system objects?

I am still figuring things out and I am sure things like balancing need tweaking. Because it was able to find saturn after I had aligned it, I don't think the mount is faulty...I hope.
