I asked the question about meridian flips and PHD and this is what he wrote back: <quote> Have the developer get in touch with me. You do not need to recalibrate with a meridian flip. This is certainly going to advance the state of the amateur astrophotography community. I tried the software out last night and I had a few comments: When trying to use Cartes du Ciel I was only able to get zeros for RA and Dec for my NGC object. Is there some setting I have to do in Cartes du Ciel to get it to integrate to MaxPilote correctly? Also, I was wondering if it might be possible to offer plate solving using astrometry.net someday? I'm not sure if their APIs are freely available, and it is certainly something that wouldn't work for remote sites. That said, for those of us imaging from a site with internet connectivity it would be beneficial in that astrometry.net is free to use. Thanks again for your efforts.
