However, I cannot see how one would automatically start guiding, even if a slew were corrected with PinPoint? Can this work automatically, say on a second target, assuming you had guiding set up correctly on the first target of the night? Sorry, this is tedious, but have to proceed step-by-step. A bientot. Would it be possible to call something other than Pinpoint for a plate solve? For example, the free PlateSolve2 program from PlaneWave Instruments ( http://www.planewave.com/index.php?page=4 ) gives me results that seem just as fast and accurate as PinpointLE. Laurent, is there anyway to set up a park at a specific time? I burned up a motor on my mi-250 because the safety limit failed, and if I wasn't relying on the safety... it wouldn't have been an issue. Any ideas? Please accept some suggestions. I may be wrong with (1) as I'm just starting to use a rotator and it is a bit confusing for me. 1) Rotator a) The SkyX (and other programs) work on position angle (PA) and not necessarily rotator angle. When you click on "skymap" to bring an angle and object it reads the position angle whereas the angle from ASCOM is the actual angle of the rotator. There (perhaps) needs to be the facility to offset this difference b) For a German equatorial then the actual angle versus the position angle change by 180 degrees (I think) so is there a way to automatically change this on a meridian flip? 2) Weather I am not sure where the weather settings are. How do I set up so that if it's "unsafe" things stop. Also is there a way to simply "pause" if cloudy but to then "stop" if overcast? It's useful (in the UK!) for the session to "pause" for some conditions but close on others and even re-start when it becomes clear again. 3) Roof closure Does the program park the mount BEFORE closing the roof? I have a roll off roof that would hit the telescope if shut too soon (well on my setup it wouldn't close because of safety switches) 4) The SkyX Eventually it would be great to support The SkyX camera plugin Many thanks for a great program and the amount of work it must take.
