(you can see in pictures where i mounted laser finder bracket) first off i will fill or weld extra holes. then paint tube and custom dew shield i made today. also unitron finder tube will get redone. i am also replacing the standard unitron focuser with one that was painted white but is in the process of getting returned to black.(going to put white lettering in a few days when clear coat dries. everything will get fresh SS screws or the stock unitron nickle plating screws. of course this will get a fresh unihex and solar screens. ill keep updating pictures as i go. [Re: mustgobigger]       #3108972 - 05/16/09 04:23 PM Attachment (8 downloads) Edit   Reply   Quote Quick Reply   Hi All, just finished the Jaegertron 4" f/15 jaegers lens n cell on Unitron tube, finder and super focuser. focuser was white and it used to be mounted on a Astrophysics 5" refractor. tube was full of extra holes. mounted 40mm finder and a laser finder in holes for the solar ring bracket's. tube inside was painted flat black and home made dew shield and cap flocked for a slip fit. here are some final finished pictures of restoration. if its nice out ill give it first light tonight. How are the views with the Jaeger lens vs. a 4 inch Unitron lens. Does the Uni beat it, or vice versa, or too close to call? Thanks for posting. I have pictures of 3 that I did build, and I built a complete case for my Orange Tube C5 this weekend, but with the foam, it was a smidge too small to fit the C5 , so I'm modifying it today, with an eyepiece holder inside and now it will hold my C90 Astro, with an area for eyepieces and diagonal. I made 2 of the eyepiece boxes and sent one each to 2 different CN members so I'll check with them to see if its ok for you to contact them to see what they think of their eyepiece cases. I can PM you the pictures of those later on this evening. Right now, I'm busy trying to get the eyepiece holder installed in it, so I can post pictures later this evening. I will PM you to your outside email account. I still haven't figured out how to send photos to the CN private mail area. I actually will have to modify my drawings because right now all the measurements are in my head, so I still have to put them on paper.
