A few reminders :
1) do not post your own ads or the ads of your friends. This is considered sale promotion in the open forums and this is a violation of the CN TOS. Please post such ads in the S&S forum or the CNC.
2) do not post photos from ads unless you have the permission of the person who took the photo. If you must have some reference to the photo in the post, then post a link to the photo, not the photo itself.
3) do not post the entire ad text (or large blocks of it) without permission from the author.
4) try to concentrate on the item for sale and not the seller.
5) Buyer beware - there are some scams floating around, so do your homework before pursuing any ad.

Here's a Craigslist ad for a 60's refractor in Minneapolis. Price is $375, but I don't know if that's any good or not.

A few Unitrons on ebay:
Model 114
Model 128
75mm 1200mm
No pics on that last one. I'd want some pics before bidding on it, personally.
Edit: oop, looks like they just added pics.

This fellow is just a couple of dozen miles from me. Looks like an interesting scope, but not my style. For the biggies dobs are the way to go.

If I fit it in my Honda it's made for Vettes . Yeah, shipping is gonna be a problem with this scope but I did get better prices recently so we'll see.

It needs a lot of work.
Drives NOT tested
Mirror has been refigured and needs recoating...it is NOT Cave quality.
User is trying to flip the scope..why? Because it is a lemon?
The picture is not of the scope as it is now...note recent acquistion comment and then consider the age of the lawn. It is likely in pieces in the back of some garage rusting away.

Needs some work as described in the listing. I'm using it now without the drives powered up. The amount of work it needs depends on what you want.

I think I said "appears" to have been refigured only because of the R.V.R. on the back. It may be entirely Cave but I cannot prove that. I can testify it throws up superior images though. Some fellas over on Yahoo Cave forums say NOT all Cave mirrors were marked.

That's fair, I'm the suspicious type too. When I went to go see it from the original seller I felt I couldn't leave without it, so now it's here. But, now I see I'm ill-prepared for such a beautiful instrument both in knoweledge, time and housing it properly.

That's a pretty bold comment and may I say a little unfair. I took these new pics a few days ago and you're more than welcome to come over and take a look at it. It is kept securely covered and very well respected as I do all my telescopes. One of the reasons I took it off the guys hands is it was just sitting in an old shed/barn. So, I took it home and spent the next couple days cleaning it up, playin with it and moving all the parts. Come on over man, I'll make the coffee and we can enjoy looking at it together.
I am planing on cutting my lawn today .

Add for a 4"x3" view camera sort of device marked "Unitron". Looks like it might be a camera which could be attached to a telescope... or maybe not. I have no idea but figured one of you Unitron folks might be interested. Have fun! Not my ad, I have no interest in the auction, etc. etc.
