'X-Class' Telescope:

What the heck is an X-class telescope?

This particular ad ranks up there as among the best. "PAY FOR YOUR PURCHASES" is what it should be titled.

On the Wilmington, North Carolina Craigslist.

P.S.--I hope they catch the scoundrel!

Sorta fits with this thread....

Did you ever notice that you only get responses to about 1/2 your emails to a CL seller? They list a telescope, it is within driving distance of my house, I actually ask real questions (not, "I want to buy your item") and never get a response. Not even a "sorry it is sold". Just venting - thanks.

That happened to me this week. I emailed the seller, the scope is maybe 3 miles from my house, a mile from my route to work, and it took a day to get a response. The seller agreed that after work would probably be best, and seeing it would be the best way to learn about it. But other than telling me what major intersection it's near, he hasn't said anything about how to contact him or when we might meet.

It's a rusty old Newt, so I think I'll just let it go, on the gamble that none of it is especially collectible.

-Tim.

I'd never pay $1,000 for that refractor when I can spend "only" $400 for this reflector:
http://modesto.craigslist.org/pho/2064655802.html

I mean, c'mon: it's totally worth it because the seller assures me that the color is "totally auesome."

Thanks for the heads up Nave! Just bought it! Should be able to get it for under $600 after the UPS ship and pack fees.

It will be the smallest overpayment you've made for a telescope yet.

Maybe he should try a third time. I would strongly suggest a photograph or brand name. This seller needs more "pertinent" information!

Perhaps they'll cook you dinner if you show up to buy their telescope.

2 astrology books included!! [Re: d.sireci51]
      #4265278 - 12/22/10 04:14 PM

I thought that was just a misspelling of "astronomy", until I clicked on the link to the ad, and there was a picture of two actual astrology books!

telescope with 2 astrology books
