I didn't install anything. That is the undermount light that normally comes with the 4 inch Unitron. Mine worked!

On the upper end of scopes the rage for the last generation has been stubby tubes (for easy transport) and supposidly lower f-ratios are better than longer scopes for astro-photography, that produce smaller magnification (who needs magnification!

Your pictures may be too large. I use the Paint program in windows to resize my photographs. They need to be 100kb (or maybe its 200kb now) or less.

I don't have a night photo so I thought I would take one of my day photos and just invert the colors. I got a black sky alright and a surprise, farararar out! like a purple lawn! its a Swift 60mmf15
