Wonderful telescope for sure. You will enjoy that for many years to come, and it will make quite an impression on others as well. There is nothing like a fine, large, tube long focus refractor- the quintessential telescope IMHO.

I am sorry to say that it does not live up to expectations. Star tests have revealed in focus aberrations.

I need to get it bench tested in a month or so..Ronchi first and then Interferometry. I hope it will pass and it's just old oil.

I tested it with a null tester and found it has a bad edge. Only the last 1 or 2 tenths of an inch is turned. A mask should make a big difference. More.work is obviously needed...
