This needs to be posted here too.

Far too cool. Wish it wasn't on the right coast!

I was talking about that some of the C5's like around 1974 seemed to have the black corrector trim. Like the one C5 pic posted above.

Mine has the black dust cover on in the C5 image above, but the trim ring under it is black.

Then the pic of Tim's C5 shows it in a tan like color, same as my newer C5's without the holes in the forks.

Unitron with weight drive in AU new [Re: Rich (RLTYS)]

Here you go for all you addicts. Great price until you add the freight. However, how often do these come along. Someone here should go for it. I would, but too many scopes and the only thing I want is the weight drive. Let me restate that. The only thing I do not have is the weight drive. I want one so bad

Looking more closely at this setup made me realize it is not a scope from the early 50's or 60's. No unibalance and it must be a typo that the guidescope is a 60X800 unless it is not a Untron guidescope.

That is a collection of historical importance, from a fellow forum member! It appears that Bill is selling them as a lot; I don't blame him, either... just hope that he is OK.

That is a serious collection of mostly American scopes. Price isn't out of line. Only a little more than a 4" Unicorn. for a remarkable collection.

The collection is more expensive than you think. first you would need to biuld an addition or rent storage space. That is a lot of scopes at once. there would also be the cost of the moving van. Just food for thought.

It's apparent from his ad that he merely wants a smaller, lighter instrument; I doubt that he's aware of the rarity/high price of the Quantum scopes.

So he says
According to the Company7 website, they estimate that OTI sold 645 4" inch models.
