I see, I normally let the dog handle those. It has been great. I have not needed to buy dog food in a long time.

What was interesting was all the focal reducers and lenses that fit into the camera I found while organizing. Also, found a couple of the Polarex 25mm orthos and one other ortho I did not know were in the lot. Those are nice eyepieces. I have to go through the boxes and sort everything and then label whats in each one. There are a ton of parts for 114 and 128 mounts. Like slow motion units with the springs, setting circles, mounts that are missing a few things to make then complete, but most of this is NOS that I bought over the years. Found one box I forgot about with objectives in it. Both 60mm and 75mm in cells. Sorry, no 102mm lenses. So as I sort it out I will put up more pictures.

Hi Starman.
Thanks for keeping the Unitron family alive and thanks for assembling parts needed for individual scopes here on CloudyNights.
We do need to continue the sale of classic telescopes here and not to wait till you are no longer here to show the heirs the value of the product!
Selling parts does make differences and I have learned to avoid charitable organizations of the past, and those lessons have been learned.
Giving to local museums, those charitable organization's "scope scraps" are destined to storage rooms never-to-ever see the evening's light.
For this I have learned....
I hope, like you, may we wish to rectify?
I have an original 510 5" field tripod version from 1959, untouched for over 50 years, I wish the scope the best of the best a new home.
Jim

I have never even touched a 5" Unitron. Something I have always wanted to do. They are magficant intruments that deserve to be loved. If you need someone to love that 5" my arms are open
