It's a brass harbor master with a zoom eyepiece. Has to be.

Hah, that's funny Charlie. I happen to have a UNISYS A-1 mainframe computer I'm wondering what to do with. It has lost it's novelty as a coffe table.

No sooner did FedEx come that I had to go run out and help a friend move a bunch of stuff in my pick-up. I just got home and am half-frozen but plan to get right too it. Pictures will be posted.

And no, its not a Unitron Mount. That is "coming soon to a theater near you."

This on the other hand is the long awaited...................................................................................................................................................Leg Lamp!

Could it be a Jaegers or Edmund refractor? Or is it the smokestack for a cool bar-b-q grill?

Mel

Thank you Robert. I wanted one of these when I was a kid and kind of forgot about it. Then when I saw your thread a year or two ago, I started hankering for one again. This one was Brian's (Mustgobigger). Its the one that had been at a government missile firing range and he got it in auction last year, cleaned it up and repainted it. Do you know if regular 100mm Orion tube rings will fit. I measured the tube and its 103mm in dia.

Here's another pic:

I was guessing at the same time Terra was posting images! That's not fair!

All jokes aside... Congratulations on the acquisition of your Edmund, Terra! What an awesome instrument! I will be building a Jaegers 4" f/15 soon. I currently have a Carton 100mm f/13. I love it!

Love those long-throw refractors!

Mel
