Great pics and thanks for sharing. Ive been thinking of taking my g/f up to the mountains for her b-day and figured Id try to get a tour in as well.
I know they wont want me setting up in their parking lot, but Im hoping to find somewhere in the surrounding area to spend some time.

Cool post, thanks Dave.
What is really cool is: this is where Edwin Hubble performed the observations that led to the discovery of galaxies and that they are expanding (red shift)further out into the universe. A very historic location.

When I looked at the 100-inch photos, I had a strange sense of Deja Vu. Then I remembered, that is the telescope featured in one of the episodes of COSMOS.
