Thanks, David, for the striking images.
We usually have gorgeous sunrises and sunsets here in Arizona, but during our evening public outreaches I always try to get folks to turn and look eastward to the Twilight Wedge/Belt of Venus. They are often amazed that this view is possible every morning and evening, since the common practice is to watch the sunrise and sunset. An Interpretive Ranger I know at the Grand Canyon takes the opportunity, if she is out and about at sunset, to point the feature out to the public if there is an eastern horizon available.
The best one I can recall was from the top of Mauna Kea. Of course, the camera batteries were too weak to handle the cold, but from that altitude, the effect was amazing.
But I have never thought to look during a full moon rise! Thanks again.

Here is a sunrise Belt of Venus, seen out my front door this fall, looking west to the Wellsville Mountains in Utah.

Due to my long work schedule coupled with an easterly in route in the evening and westerly out commute in the morning right now I get to see both every day......Pretty cool.

The sky was clear for most of the day and I had high hopes for getting a great shot of the Belt of Venus and the Earth's shadow over Harrisburg on Tuesday evening. However, the sky was a bit cloudy to the east as sunset neared.
