An here I thought that C-8 I got at a good price was the reason for the snow. I'd like to post a picture but UPS couldn't deliver it 'cause of the snow.

Riding out the storm at my dark sky home in NH, though the solar scope is going to be brought to Somerville where light pollution doesn't matter during the day.

No problem, there's no blizard here.......... It's warm enough for you to observe without dressing like you're on a polar expedition where I am. Congratualtions on your new telescope, it is a beauty.

Kind of like that here too, and on the very, very rare clear night it seems there's always something else planned. Just got in the new edition of Vic Menard's Newt Collimation, guess I'll read it, and go out and mess with the scopes collimation. Got to read up on how to use my new mount motors too, never used a motorized EQ mount before.
Hey, Nice Scope! Been thru those type storms here in Denver, they're not fun......but, maybe you'll have Monday Off!!

Whew!! And I thought it was MY fault!I got a couple TMB eyepieces from the recent Astronomics sale, and a Jaegers lens from Surplus Shed. And a lens cell from a member here. Glad it wasn't me! Nice new addition Tori, can't wait to read about your new views!

Maybe the blizzard is my fault. I'm the one that asked Tori about solar viewing when she was planning her cool roof-top astro-retreat. Congrats, Tori.

Actually the blizzard has been nothing but a blessing for solar viewing as the ground is cooled and the weather pattern was ushered in a full week of sunshine.

Actually, the clouds helped yesterday. The sun was about 20* above the horizon and there was a huge, thin cloud layer over it. You could easily see the sun's disk with the naked eye without it being too bright. Cool to actually see the disk of the sun. Rare you can chance looking directly at it without being blinded....
