For the moment, there are 56 answers.

As luck would have it, using the current results (rounded for those with decimals or Jupiter years) we have an average of just half a century, at 49.93.

Standard deviation is pretty big at 12.4 years. The attached graph shows that we might hope for a neat normal distribution if we increase the sample size. More respondents needed!

Also,I suddenly feel very young!

Also attaching the Excel used so anyone can follow up. Column A has the data, with the last respondent taken into account being JayinUT. Adding new ages in column A will automatically update mean, stddev, and graph.

Currently aged 35, been looking up since the age of about 7, first scope at 11, took a break from the hobby during college and early work years, got back into it over the past 5 or 6 years now that I have some spending money for gear.

Based in Ireland so not a lot of views - my gear investment gives a very poor cost per view return
