I havene't seen any shift in the last 5-6 months so I think I'm pretty good.
I hope you say the same when that beautiful CGE-PRO sits on there for a while... lol
Honestly,Bobby you said it best(and was what I was TRYING to say)..it is ALL about knowing your soil and having VERY good compaction. The reason I HAD to use a PAD around the pier is because Florida is all sand...yes,I have ~18"of REALLY hard clay..but underneath all that is NOTHING BUT sand!
Clear Skies!!

Well, I poured the pier yesterday. I intended to take pictures along the way for you folks, but when I dumped three 80# bags of 5000# Quikrete into the Little Tikes swimming pool and started mixing.... . Holy Cow!!!! I about broke my back!!!! It took 12 bags, almost 1/2 a ton, by myself. So I'm sorry there are no "pouring" pictures. I will take some later for you folks.

Here are some more pictures. The Bigfoot BF28 alone used 5-1/2 bags of concrete and the tube took 6-1/2 bags with a little bit left over. The length of the tube is 5 foot. I'm leaning towards black for the color, but I would like to be creative.

Here she is. Just needs paint now. I have three 18" pieces of rebar about three inches up from the bottom of the ground in the Bigfoot form. I also made a triangular shaped form out of rebar 5 feet long that goes down inside the tube through the Bigfoot form and is resting on the rebar in the bottom of the Bigfoot. The pier plate has an 8" bolt circle with 3/4" SST L-anchor bolts about 8" deep.
Clear nights tonight and tomorrow night.....Boy am I tempted!!!

Congrats Frank - well done.
Some questions...
What's a bigfoot?
What's rebar?
I'm thinking of doing a pier myself, but didn't realise there was that much effort involved - I didn't really want to dig half way to Canada lol!!!
