Very nice mount for sure.What diameter are the shafts? Great work on the optical tube too! As others have said,very inspiring!

Very nice job on the mount! How did you connect the RA axis to the wooden declination mounting plate?

The diameter of the shafts is 1.25" of inox steel.

Really nice to see another homemade mount! Nice wood! My shafts are just cold rolled steel so I have to keep spraying them with rust inhibitor! Where did you get your gears? My clock drives were made by Optic Craft Machining...

Hi Roger,

I love homemade mounts, however, there is so few projects in Brazil. My DEC gear was bought on eBay and it belongs to Orion EQ-5 mount. The AR gear was made by a renamed brazillian ATM, Mr. Pires, Darío.
