Probably a response to the Paramount MX, but the Asian competition isn't sleeping either. Looks like a great mount for the C11, so why not "AP1100?" What's next the AP1400?

I think next mount should be an upgrade for the Mach1GTO to use an encoder as an option. And release the Apcc for sale.

I also think that next round, Roland should consider produce more small and medium refractor.

Roland has said the Mach1 was meant to be a portable mount and at that size the absolute encoders would not be an option.

The AP130GT has been, and still is, in production for the past 5 years and Roland says he will continue to produce them as long as quality glass remains available. Roland is up to late 2002 to early 2003 on the waiting lists now. There is always Astromart if you want one quicker or order a 140TEC.

As to AstroPhysics producing anything smaller than the 130, it will not happen. Roland has said so repeatedly over the past 5 years.

He said about six months ago that he MIGHT be getting glass for a run of 160's but has not confirmed it nor mentioned it lately. He did mention that he will be building a few more Riccardi-Honders 305's in the near future but these have been spoken for a few years ago. There is always Officina Stellare if you want something along those lines.

The last 5 AP175's are going to be shipping soon but they too have been spoken for six months ago.

"Buh-deh, buh-deh, bud-deh, buh-deah; That's all folks."

I think he mentioned it on the group chat in Feb. Maybe we'll see at NEAF this month.
