Pile of junk :-) on the small built-in table. It all comes out of the box.

Left foam cut in half for easy removal; making lifting out and in of the OTA more easy. The foam at the right side goes on top of the OTA and is taken out/put in the box together with the OTA.

Does anyone know where to find this product these days? This thread goes back about 4-5 years ago.
Thanks for any help.

I got mine at Home Depot. Don't know if Lowes carries them too, but it is worth a check. I suspect one could also order direct from Stanley, though shipping might be a bear.

As it relates to storing an 11" CPC Edge in a Stanley case..... Can anyone tell me the actual length of the Feathertouch micro focus knob? I'm reluctant to install a micro focuser, then find that the scope no longer fits the storage box. I know; using storage as a determining factor for installing a focuser is silly, but storing our big scopes can be a huge issue. Thank you to all.

I have the feathertouch installed on mine and it fits the Stanlet case ok. You have to be a little careful lowering it into the case to make sure the focuser does not scrape the end, but there is still an inch or two to play with with the FT installed.

Home Depot just came out with their own brand, Husky, work box. It's internally larger than the Stanley box, will comfortably fit a C14, and is $10 cheaper. It is built as well, if not better than the Stanley. In fact, after I wrote this, I went down and bought another one for my mount.

hi folks,
i am pretty new here. my first suggestion straight forward in this thread starts with a question:
has anybody tried just a simple luggage case/trolley as a cpc case? i (cpc9.25 user) have not but can imagine that with a wooden board in the trolley´s back plus a plank in it´s bottom (plus some foam pieces of course)could be a cheap but fine scope transporter.
i will check some luggage cases on my next shopping tour...
enjoy this easter weekend! (temperature here in old europe is still around zero degrease centigrade - unbelivable!)

Just bought a Husky 37" Mobile Job Box; have had the 50 gallon Stanley box for a while. Will do some careful measurements and report back.

Hat tip to Charles W. My CPC1100 Edge fits much better in the Husky box. Here are the dimensions I promised:
Stanley 50 gal box: 29" x 16-1/2" bottom 30-3/4" x 17-3/4" mid-point 31-1/2" x 19" top
Husky 37" Mobile Job Box: 31" x 16-1/4" bottom 33-3/4" x 18-1/4" mid-point 34" x 18-1/4" top
The most significant difference is the extra 3 inches of length at the mid-point....that's where our CPC scopes rest. The difference is caused by the handholds in the ends of the Stanley box....the handhold indentions run down the full height of the ends of the box. The Husky box ends are flat: no full depth hand indentions. Now I have no worries about going to a Feathertouch micro focuser. Actually, I had to scrounge around my stuff room for more pieces of foam.
Thanks again Charles.
Best of Luck to all.

I picked up the Huskey case from Home Depot for $59.99. I'm now trying to get the foam. I'm post pics when I've sorted it all out.
