The original link for Dale Keller's Newt Software in the original post is no longer valid.

Here is the current link:

Reflectorians:

This post can be removed, and probably should be after it's answered, but could someone recommend good sources for flocking material for a Newtonian?

Thanks ahead of time

Good thing Jason's not a policeman, or a school crossing guard.

Found this ...

CN flocking description

... and it's a good read, for sure, though the author spends little time discussing the flocking options, rather than the most generic, dismissing the Protostar 'Light Trap' with little detail. I'm a bit more interested in the detail. Of course, the reason such a recommendation belongs here, as opposed to a post I might make, is that such information does, in fact, belong on a 'sticky' post that won't disappear in the myriad other topics. Given that collimation is talked to death in these stickies, doesn't flocking a newtonian merit some permanence? I would certainly agree that collimation has greater importance, overall, for newt owners, but after this subject, I'd think flocking, at least opposite the focuser and near the objective might deserve attention on a lasting, 'sticky' post.
