This is a new outlook of my 8" ISTAR achro , took during last weekend star gazing trip .......

I also have a very short video clip of this 8" acrho....

Here is my first and last attempt at solar observing with my new Istar. The Seymour Solar filter was a complete bust though. Not good enough quality in the film for even rice granulation. The 10" F/11 R30 can't be topped. Last night I had perfect diffraction rings.... brighter first rings followed outward by ever decreasing in brightness rings.

Hi Bro....

Thanks for your comment.....

Initially I would like to dismantle the whole scope and send for spray painting in pearl white....
But it seems to be quite troublesome, so I purchased from DIY store, one roll of delco adhesive tape, then I just paste it over.......and if I want to change the design look again, I just need to remove the tape and apply another new one....

And the piggy back scope is almost the same size as my 8" schro.........

Cool scopes everyone. Here's my newly acquired grab'n'go solution. An Orion EON 80 on a Portamount II. It's as light as a feather and a joy to use. The Portamount is surprisingly stable even with the stock tripod.

Finally got my tube from the powder coaters. It looks absolutely stunning in "bone white", and now my Faworski/Crawmach/Carton 60mm f/16.7 scope is complete!
