I don't mean to hijack this thread but I am also looking for a transport case for my yet to arrive Skylight 4" f15 refractor. I would like it to be light enough to carry with telescope but solid enough to protect the instrument from knocks.
Any help would be appreciated.

I love the Tenba cases. Particularly the TTP Tripaks which have rigid, padded sides. They come in 34", 46" and 75" (interior lengths). My Telementor fits perfectly in the TTP34 and my Showa in the TTP46.

You will never go wrong with a Pelican Case. They protect scopes well and are good at keeping moisture out. I suggest you visit their web site.

Check out Stellarvue I now have seven of their refractor cases. Their not all that pricey and built and padded extremely well. I have yet to be disapointed.

I have 4 of their cases! Extremely well made and a definite step up above the Tenba (which I also have)
I also like that I can talk directly to the owner of Stellarvue. Their service and business practices have been outstanding.

+1 on the Stellarvue cases. I have the C9S for my SV102ED and it fits the scope with the diagonal on and some extra goodies in a nice extra compartment (filters, the odd eyepiece, RDF).
The case is literally built like a tank even though it is not a hard case...

I have a bespoke Scopeguard for the 152 which was almost as costly as my TAK OTA once shipping to UK factored into the bill...but it is a classy, very well built affair that will keep the TMB safe for life. Got it from OPT.

cases....wood....for a long Refractor
Say 6' -7' or even longer.
Does anyone make these.
I have a complete set for my AP
superplanetary and I imagine
They were costly items.
I could make myself but only outside
(No heated garage) And in the midwest its to cold
Right now and I don't want too
Wait for spring.
Thinking I will need about 100"

I agree 100%. They aren't cheap, but they are built like a rock. If you're stuff gets damaged in a Pelican you either packed it wrong or it's the least of your worries because something really bad happened 
Honestly though, they are great cases, customizable with the P&P foam, and re-usable with new sets of foam if you go a diff direction many years from now.
All my equipment is in Pelican cases (which also stack nicely and securely due to the sized/spaced ridges they put in their cases).
Anyway, I'm a fan of Pelican...

Here is a case that used to be included with the ed100. A skywatcher case similar to this can still be purchased from Skywatcher for something like $160

Pelican cases are without a doubt the best cases out there; I have 19 of them full of astro gear. But they aren’t exactly telescope friendly. Their either to square or just too big and bulky at least the only one that would fit a descent sized refractor, and that one ain’t cheap. I have one case that holds my WO 80mmFD, Stellarvue 70mm, and two of my Stellarvue finderscopes along with several other items but that’s it for Pelican and scopes.
Stellarvue cases are only made for refractors, one large case holds both my TMB 130SS and my TMB 92SS. And as I said before I have 6 more of all three sizes. There’s nothing wrong with Orion cases either I have several that I carry my tripods in and my Meade garbage cans 8, 10, and 12”. Orion is about the only soft case maker that has convenient sizes and a good selection. But their nowhere near the quality of the Stellarvue
