Here is a collection of 4 from 10-7-10. Out on the driveway with the TAK TSA 102 and TAK EM-10 mount. Just getting my sea legs back under me after a 2 year battle with cancer when the series of photos were taken. (I won! )

Camera set up and taking a photo every 10 seconds or so. Some show me as a ghost or very fuzzy. Not a bad night considering and allowing for the fact that from home a naked eye magnitude of 4.5 is pretty good.

Barry Simon

Great series Barry!

Ok, my modest entry: c. early 90s Celestron Firstscope EQ modified to be an Altaz.

I wish I had the 60mm version too so I could join the 60mm club! :-)

I understand these were made by Vixen for Celestron.

Nice setup! How did you modify the mount to be alt/az?

Wow... how well does that mount handle the scope? I imagine it's pretty close to its limits?

Why? The finderscope could be a cheap poor quality achromat running at low mag, maybe 10 or 15x, while the main tube could be something like an AP f4.9 Stowaway with a Zeiss eyepiece running 150x or higher. It can be a magic combination if things are well aligned and one is cruising the moon.
