First light tonight with my Explore Scientific ED102 f/7 Air-Spaced Triplet Apochromatic Refractor Carbon Fiber. I can only say one word WOW!!!! It was perfect for my CG 5 mount

Nice looking! But I prefer the white AL tube version. It's a pity that ES has discontinued it.

Great collection Zach. Even though I have a great new scope, I will always miss my TMB130SS.

Thanks Joe! The TMB is indeed a fine scope, and I'm glad its part of my collection. I can't wait for its showdown with the Edge 8.

The image of Saturn on their page for the 175 is super sweet. I can only imagine what it must be like thru the eyepiece! Enjoy your scope

I can only imagine. I have not yet had a first light. That will come soon and in dark skies where it deserves to be used.

After reading the posts, had to run out and take another shot of my rig.
Once I get the plates Joe, my Patriot will have it's job back as the finder/guider!

Hi All,

Just back from NEAF. Picked up a ES127mm for a quick grab and go visual scope. The CF tube really helps cut the weight which I was slightly concerned with as I wanted to mount it on my Stellarvue Alt/Az mount. It works very well. Tested it on a couple doubles tonight thru the clouds and shows very nice views.

Dean

Last night's Astronomy Day star party. I had the TEC 160mm F/8 out. Here a friend is looking at Jupiter well before sundown. Note the Moon high in the sky above him.

Ross, nice looking setup and the plates should arrive tomorrow.

Dean, Congrats on the new grab and go.

My AP 155mm f/9 EDT. I hope to upgrade the mount this year. I'm running into the limits of what the G11 can do with a scope of this length.
