NOAA 11029 hi-res
      #3412617 - 10/26/09 06:35 PM

Hi everyone,

I've never posted here, so I will introduce myself:

My name is Gianluca Valentini and I live in Italy. I do my imaging from my home observatory and I mostly enjoy solar imaging, although I try DSO sometimes.

You will find more information on my equipment on my website, www.amun-ra.org

Here is the link to my most recent images of NOAA 11029:
WHITE LIGHT: http://www.amun-ra.org/NOAA_WL/11029/NOAA11029_10262009_WL.jpg
and H-ALPHA: http://www.amun-ra.org/NOAA_HA/11029/NOAA11029_10262009.jpg

Hope you enjoy them.

Luca, Thank you for posting your amazing images!
I look forward to seeing more from you in the future. I don't image myself but I really enjoy seeing different perspectives from all over the world. Welcome to the solar forum!

Thanks for your kind welcome Michael!

I plan to post more often here, now that having a website allows me to post images larger than the requirement of this forum.

Ciao

Your website is excellent, your images set a new standard. But now you need to do some tutorials so we all can catch up with your data gathering and data processing techniques.

Hello Tuawcxs,

you are way too kind! I always say that I'm very lucky to have the equipment I have and the daytime seeing I have. That explains most of my "secret".
However, I have been invited to give a speech at a conference in mid-december here in Italy and, although I don't feel I can teach much, I am trying to put together a document where I explain what I do and how I do it. It is not an easy thing because I mostly act on instinct (especially in processing) and I feel that many of the things I pay attention to during data gathering are trivial, but it is good for me too because it gives me the opportunity to look back and, maybe, improve on what I do. As soon as I'm ready it will be a pleasure to share it with anyone who wants it. You just have to be a little patient because it deosn't only need to be done, but it also needs to be translated into English since the original will be in Italian.

Thanks again for your comment.

Luca
