SkySafari Pro and the SkiFi wireless controller get my vote. It is an absolute joy to use for both the planning and execution phases of of my observing sessions.

Istar, for their off-the-shelf and high quality achromats they supply for the ATM'ers in the hobby. I have two, here's my 4" build. Jim

It's the year of the apps... They have changed the game for us observational amateurs!

1. Zambuto mirror replacement mirrors for GSO and Orion mass produced dobs... Makes them world class... See my Summer thread on the race on reflector forum. Best $900 I ever spent...

2. SkySafari on I-devices... Huge bang for the buck

3. paramount MX... Gorgeous, capable, and good value in its class

4. Lunt LS60 double stack... Amazing build quality and value

My submission would be the Cambridge Double Star Atlas. It has Tirion drawn maps that show thousands of double stars and all the NGC, IC and M catalogues. Also a very delightful history section on the history of double star observing. The very best all around sky atlas IMO. A definite keeper.
