I'm not sure when the Explore Scientific Comet Hunter 6" Mak Newt came out, but it would sure get my vote for a product of the year award.

Also, BackYard EOS is fantastic!

Another Vote for Sky Safari but in my case it would be for the Android OS. It was released the day before Christmas and it is the first really serious astronomy app for the Android OS.

I see lots of votes for the ES 82 degree eyepieces, were they released in 2011 or did the price just become affordable in 2011? Looking back through the ads on Astromart, I see ES 82 degree eyepieces being sold used in 2009.

It was a combination of a redesign and lower prices. They met the magical price point....
