The sky has that deep blue indicating a low particulate count. Things will get chilly (for Arizona) tonight, so dress accordingly. Sophies Flat here we come! I wouldn't been able to make it anyway. I picked up a cold toward the end of the trip (fortunately, I felt fine until after the parade) and even today, I'm not 100% through with it. I'll be in Kalifornia for the mid-morning report, so I'll skip it. If we have good weather for the March date, it may be a cometpalooza. I brought binoculars and I was going to show James (that's his name) a few things but it was cloudy there, too. James isn't into astronomy but still, I think he would've enjoyed a look at the stars at night in Arizona. Enjoy some Mexican food for dinner, then the stars, and then my traditional session with Dee Snider (ex-Twisted Sister singer who now hosts "House of Hair") on the car radio (KDKB). Oh, and on the way home, try the new pavement on Highway 74! The contractor doesn't seem to be working on weekends, which means no flaggers on Saturday or Sunday. I haven't found a Clear Sky Chart for the Wickenburg area (and they wouldn't show a chart covering Sat, yet. But the NOAA weather chart is showing a forecast for 50% Cloud Cover on Sat. I'm coming from Gilbert, which makes it a very long way to simply turn around. I'm chasing a wide-field of Orion and also the Rosette - both of which have already slid into the skydome of Super Nova Phoenix from my usual Picketpost dark site. So, it seemed the right time to visit Wickenburg. Friday Eve is forecast with significantly less cloud cover - do you think anyone would be up there Fri Night ??
