Weekend of May 18, 19, 20. New moon. Any plans for a get-together somewhere? Maybe Rainier or Eastern WA or Mount St. Helens?
Love the Guess Who. No sugar tonight in my coffee... Looks like they are still playing! My first concert was Surpertramp (Crime of the Century) at the Paramount in 74.

My dad was only 20 when i was born. He is 59 now. My grandpa was more of a Frank Sinatra guy.

Stacy, i originally though to put my z8 on the mount but, the price of rings and dovetail seem like that is not likely the way i will go. Unless i can find them at a more reasonable price. The only rings i have found so far are $200 1/2 the price of a new z8. A shorter newt,mak/newt, mak cass, could be interesting.
A pair of 8" Orion rings are $60 and a 13" dovetail is $20 or you can usually find them at S&S or other places used. Might be too heavy though. I have some 8 inch rings and a dovetail you can borrow to see if it works. Actually, If they work, I'll make you a great deal on them as I am not using them right now anyway..
PM Me and I'll give you my address so you can pick them up.
Stacy
How did i miss this post? I'll try it out. It'll be a few days before i have any free time, my family is returning tomorrow and it is Easter this weekend.

Yeah, but sans Burton Cummings. I saw them in the late-80's with a lead singer who sounded like Huey Lewis (who I don't really care for). It was painful to listen to.

Looks like we may get a clear night tonight. It looks like it gets better the later you go out. I am going to keep an eye out tonight. I would like to get some mars time in and try out my new setup. I need to go buy some longer 1/4-20 screws for the longer dovetail i bought. The TV dovetail is the first TV product that i don't like. It isn't a full dovetail. One of the edges is square. Anyway, i couldn't reuse the screws because there is only 2-3 threads sticking out.

Ouch! Well hopefully CCR sans Fogerty will not be as bad. I'm going next month at EQC.
Maybe get out with the 80 tonight

I guess Cummings and Bachman have been touring together lately as Bachman-Cummings.

I wouldn't mind seeing that show.

Guess Who without Cummings, CCR without Fogerty, BTO without Bachman????.... isn't it like the Dead without Jerry, Stones without Mick or Richard, Doors without Jim, the Experience without Jimi, Animals without Burton, the Time without Morris Day, the yardbirds and Cream without Claption, The Tympany Five without Louis Jordan, the Jordanaires without Elvis, the Heartbreakers without Petty, or the Beattles without John (you're left with The Wings)

The time without morris day??? Does morris day belong in that paragraph? Nirvana without Kurt, Alice in Chains without Layne.

Well - I just watched Palladia CH network concert of Foreigner, without Lou Gramm, and I have to say it was excellent! The guy they got sings better than Lou, is a better performer and is not ill. I would go see them live - it was really good.

I was trying to think of how to word prince and the revolution without the artist formerly known as prince but, i would have rather used his symbol. Darn it!!!

I wouldn't be surprised if it was perfect. I had Saturday off until 3 hours ago. Saturday night is probably not good. I am just negative, i haven't checked yet.

Do you think it is time to start the "Pacific NW Mt St Helens EternaThread Pt 6"? Unless we are going for a record page number or something.

You must have been reading my mind, telenewbie, as I was close to starting a Pt 6 thread.
I've the locked Pt 5 thread – 2,400 is a nice round number to close it on.
I sure hope those clouds clear out for you guys in the Pacific Northwest. I have a son who lives in Washington.
John, it would have been nice to add one final message to Pt 5 saying it had been locked and Pt 6 was the place to look. I had that thread in my favorite threads list and I was wondering why everyone was suddenly so quiet.
Regards,
Tanveer.
