I do Abilene my first day, which is long doing 1075 miles. Last year I left from Huntsville and spent the night in Dr Benways driveway in Abilene. Then a group of use hit the Fort Davis State Park for Sat night.

Going back I do 2 11 hour days. usually pretty beat and can't do a long one.

I'll be there again next year. Steph knows where you can meet me for our long-overdue hug, Erika.

CN annual milk shake/malt social Tuesday. Meet under the two-headed calf in the ranch registration area at 1 p.m.

It's 1300 miles each way for us. We do the bulk of it the first day from the Bay Area to Tucson, nearly 800 miles. That makes the second day a comparatively short 500 miles.

Alvin & I once did the Iron Man thing and drove the entire 1300 miles back in a single day - definitely not recommended.

I've done a couple of other marathon drives/rides. One was back-to-back 818 mile and 888 mile days on a motorcycle. Another was Salt Lake City to Ciudad Chihuahua (about 900 miles) in a single day.
