Will you be bringing any LOMO 80/600 CNC II's? Maybe one with unusually high Strehl?

Can you bring the one with 99+ Strehl lens in a CNC II tube? I plan to attend NEAF, and would like to purchase it from you there.
One question- do you remember the optics/cool down issue that some of the 80/600 cells had? Has LOMO addressed this? Or is it a matter of lens cell tightness? I still live in Boston (with some cold nights!), you know...
Thanks! John

Only 97 strehl? Heck...I wouldn't even bring a scope with such embarrassingly low numbers.

Can you elaborate on this a bit? as I just purchased a used MW 80/600. I believe that it was produced in 02, and was unaware of any cell problems with these scopes. Makes me wonder if it might be a potential issue with mine.

Well, I can't say that it was many of them, but I used to have an 80/600 which had a pinching problem as it cooled outside (keep in mind, my delta T was about 30 or 40 degrees). Markus explained that it could be fixed by adjusting some screws within the cell. But I am now wondering if LOMO has addressed this or not, or if it was necessary to.
In any case, though, the views through the 80/600 lens set are the sharpest and highest quality I have ever seen through any telescope, period. Which is why I am going to get another one!
Best,
John

ok, I bring the scope.
The Pinch issue was in 1 single shipment only, we found it, and it was fixed by LOMO
It has been only a few of very many lenses
see you at neaf

If it were in northern Delaware it'd be a 10 minute drive for me and no sales tax. I moved from NJ three years ago, now they're getting a new telescope store. Any chance of a branch in Delaware?

"So that's One APM 105mm Apo with CNC tube; a side order of Feathertouch focuser; two TMB planetary's and One Lunt solarscope to go. Is that right? Would you like dark skies with that?"
