Appealing for another hint--
type of scope(s) being introduced?
Refractor, reflector, cat?
P.s.,
Bosma?

Ooooo, more fodder for the Refractor forum's "discussions". Tom T had better be buying his Asprin in the really big bottles.

Mike, someone above mentioned Long Perng, but I don't believe you explicitly eliminated them?

No Long Perng as the Long Perng labeled scopes.
Not GPU, to expensive. These are value products.
This is a fun game. I am not totally sure of the quality of one piece of equipment. We hope to have it in this week. It is a 102mm Triplet for $1295. It uses FPL53 they say. I have been happy with their products so far, but I don't want to go out on a limb.
Vendor inquires are welcome.

I know. However, I want to see the thing before I go nuts. The photos of the scope look nice, but I want to get my hands on it. If it is what the specs lead one to believe...we may just have something.
So much for pursuing the AT 103 f/7 TMB designed doublet.

Just found and downloaded the Guangzhou Bosma astronomical telescope catalog for 2009/2010.
Good lineup of products.
Including a 102mm f/6.5 ED triplet refractor.
Linky to catalog download.

Nice link, Clive ... I wish they had a 'typical' website to visit. Their catalog is kinda a pain to look through.
Interesting stuff, tho ... thanks!

Not to get too off track, but those Startracker mounts are the same as iOptron's offering. Are they made by this company?
