Hello everybody!

1 week till NEAF 2009 . I would like everyone to bring their kids to NEAF!
1 Too promote our hobby
2 To show them how we all work together
3 To allow them the chance to be involved in the what is the best astronomy show anywhere.
4 To teach them how one gains respect from others.
5 The opportinity to work one on one with ME.
And finally the chance for me to learn from them.

So parents BRING ME HELP!!!!!

I mean Alot of them!!! And they all will be put to work , helping me provide you with the best I can do to make it another great show.

Oh, There will be surpzises........
oh, I promise you that!

Thank you, Alan! My 10 year old son has been talking about going for weeks. We can only get to the show Sunday around 2. Hope there is something left for him to do.

Greg, How old is mandy? My two girls will be there (14 & 15 ) first at the membership table the at the kids booth, tell her to look them up. She can read about my 14 year old here http://deer-pond-observatorie.wetpaint.com/page/The+story+about+SN2008ha

I'm bringing my "kids" (Maggie, 12, Casey, 5). They've been bathed, brushed, have Bordatello, flea, heartworm, and rabies preventive.

Casey's especially adapted to licking tape and envelops. And hands, faces, etc...

They're my avatar...

This will be Evgeniy(age 13) and Jonathan's(age 15) third year at NEAF. Last year they worked for Alan and are soooooo excited to have the honor to work for him again. EVERYTHING Alan said is true. EVERYTHING!!!! I cannot say enough about the experience they had! Here is a post from last year about our greatest take home from NEAF. Please take the time to read it! Once you do, you'll understand why you have to bring your kids!!!!
Like Evgeniy said this evening " More great STAFF ADVENTURES!" This year Tatiana, their 10 year old daughter is coming too! She's got a job helping Vic Maris and last night had her suitcase out and was packing already - she's more excited then the boys!!!! Alan - You are the best!!!!!

AJ and Sam don't fit in the suitcases any longer.

Tatiana, Evgeniy, and Jonathan are tired, but still excited! Tatiana was up bright and early dispite getting in at 11:00pm or so. Alan, Evgeniy was busy showing Mom the proper way to "make a muscle" and wants to do more physical work lifting! We've so much to write, but Jonathan broke his glasses there ( a story unto it's own...

) so I've got some running around to do. Besides - it's be cloudy for a month after the "Greatest Show on Earth"!!!!

Here is a story.

My family (wife, 9 and 7 yr old daughters) were at the NEAF yesterday drooling over all the scopes (mostly me especially at the Lunts booth) here comes this guy with a yellow shirt with NEAF on the front asking me if he can borrow us for few questions..... a stranger

- my daughter and I thought but, he looked "somewhat" harmless

He escorts us to the Cloudynight webcam and introduce himself to us as Alan Traino. He then asks my girls few astronomy questions and tells us that he and Astronomics are trying to promote astronomy and science. He then asks my girls if they have a telescope of their own and my oldest shakes her head no. Alan then turns around, picks up a case and hands over a 4in MC telescope to my girls and says "Here is a present for both of you. But, you have to promise that you have to find me next year and tell me all the things you saw through this telescope, promise??" The look on their faces were priceless.

I would like to thank you and Astronomics for a wonderful gift and great job you all did at the NEAF. We will definitely find you next year at the NEAF and report.

Steven, your girls were just adorable during that presentation!

We have that whole thing recorded from the webcam, too, and it will be one of the things that gets archived for others to see that missed it, once Mike Loffland gets a chance to go through the tapes and do his magic on them in the next couple of weeks or so.

My little buddy, Tatyana, let me brush and braid her pretty hair on Sunday morning. She sat still and never let out a peep if I accidentally pulled her hair. I even got some extra hugs and kisses from her.

Here are the NEAF staff members Nikki, Zhenya (happy birthday again bud!), and Mandy looking for another youngster to share their telescope with. This scope was first Nikki's, then Zhenya's, and now it's Mandy's (yay Mandy!). This little telescope has inspired each one to continue learning about astronomy and about sharing with other kids who may not have a telescope of their own.

Each of the kids on Alan's staff were fantastic! I'm very proud of them all. If I asked for help with anything, they jumped right in there and they TOTALLY enjoyed working for Uncle Alan.

Good morning team!

I would like to Thank you all for all your hard work at the show this year. You guys are the reason I continue to do NEAF . If I can get a few of you into this wonderful hobby,Then I will be happy that I have done my job. I gauge my success by how the people around me get involved .

And you guys SHINE LIKE THE MORNING SUN. I felt like i was in LORD OF THE RINGS , The battle was rageing, and I looked to the west and saw my Army. You kids give me that special feeling , you know what I mean, We can do anything as a team! We never say no, we only know how to make things happen. So to all of you .

I challenge all C.N.ers to help me get over 1000 children to next years NEAF.
I will provide anything you may need to help my dream come true. I will also volunteer my time in anyway, and of course all resources that I have access to, along with the support of some wonderful vendors who also have the same dream. Let's all pledge to make this happen for next year.

If there is no age limit, count in Samantha (will be 10) and Erin (will be 7). They are enthusiastic about this already.....

Alan,

Sorry we couldn't make the trip from Florida to NEAF this year, but my girls both said they hope that we can go in 2010 -- they had a blast helping out last year. Be well, and congrats on what sounds like a great NEAF 2009.
