You need run under boot camp or parallels for now. A lot of users are running under parallels with no issues at all.

I like the feature that you have for the illuminated eyepiece for doing drift alignments. If I were to make a custom layer for measuring arcseconds, am I able to drop that in a program directory so I can use it too (provided I rename the image)?

If not, could I send it to you for use in a future release?

It's not an image, the reticule is drawn dynamically on-the-fly. I do have plans to offer a more precise measurement base on your optics eventually.

Thank you for your support,

Jim,

BYE does not do guiding, it does dithering.

This said you can't guide and image with the same camera. This is not possible with DSLRs.

You need a separate guide camera and either a guide scope or an off-axis guider hooked up to PHD. Once you have proper guiding then, and only then, can BYE do its magic and dither between each images.

Does this make sense?

Guylain

There is a good explanation of dithering in the BYE user manual... but I'm no different than anybody else... I rarely read those manuals too

Thank you for your support.
