Rick, that's exactly why I jumped on this when I read it. I was at work, but our computers at work wouldn't let me access the section of the web page to purchase the charts. I was sure they were going to be gone before I got off work, so I borrowed a co-workers smart phone to make the purchase. I've never made so many fat-fingered mistakes in my life. I don't see how people use those things!

I wonder if Agena is selling them for the same price?

I had no problem placing a US order @ $99.
On a different note, I find it interesting that the site says, "...the edition will not be reissued!" I wonder if eventually a new edition will be issued, perhaps with the galaxies indicated differently. It would be helpful to see galaxy symbols as something more indicative of the type of galaxy, spiral, face-on, edge-on, etc. I wonder.

My hunch is, Piotr figures he's maxed out the printed atlas market, and it wouldn't pay to do another run (and he's probably right). I expect a digital version soon. Maybe updated with some dark nebulae, a catalog, and a built in search engine? That would be a good companion to the atlas, as well as a good stand-alone product. It'd be hard to resist ordering one. And he could burn copies for almost nothing!

I ordered Monday, the Atlas got delivered today (Thursday). I like it

.
The plotting and labeling quality is very good, the image scale is perfect for the amount of information that is presented.
The individual, removable maps in a strong binder are much better for use at the telescope than a "book" atlas!
At the discounted price it's incredible value for money - having seen it now, I wouldn't hesitate ordering it at the full price.

You won't regret it Mike. I'm still kicking myself for not ordering the Millenium Star Atlas when it was in print. I kept telling myself, "oh, I'll get around to it. It isn't going anywhere".

Just type in the tracking number given in the search box in the upper right at usps.com. Mine arrived a couple days ago (actually, I wasn't home at the time and it delayed it a day). I ordered it on the 30th. It took about 12 days to arrive.

The atlas is awesome. And it is *huge*

Mine just arrived today. It is fantastic!

Ordered on the 5th and it delivered yesterday with the expedite option. Mine spent 5 days clearing U.S. customs though.

Mine arrived in Israel today. I had no idea how big and heavy it is. It is truly GIGANTIC. Feels like it weighs about 20 pounds. I also didn't realize it was loose leaf format with about 300 pages. This thing is as big as the SKY!!

Just ordered my copy tonight. From Agena Astro. A little higher price, but i'm more comfortable buying from companies i know...
Actually, Agena's current price is probably less than the expedited shipping price from Pyotr.

Looks like it should be a real cool atlas! Probably won't be taking it out in the field; instead i'll probably xerox sections of interest.

I printed out the three sample pages at full size (17"x24") on one of our big map plotters at work, and they have a ton of detail on them.

I tried to order online at his site, but they're going into the cart at $1 each. I emailed him several days ago, but got no response.

The stocks of The Great Atlas of the Sky became exhausted on December 23rd. Still, all orders paid for after that date will be finalized since I am now collecting the unsold copies of the atlas from our distributors in Poland. I hope to receive approximately 50 copies of the atlas in this way. The collected copies will be shipped out to clients starting from around January 10th. Until this date no express orders will be processed.

Thus, further orders can be placed at will – when the number of new orders exceeds 50, I will post a separate message on cludynights forum, and if there is not enough copies, the money will be reimbursed immediately. Once all copies collected from distributors’ warehouses are sold, the sales of the greatest atlas of the sky will be definitively closed.
