Jupiter C9.25: 06/22/06 new
      #1012188 - 06/23/06 12:52 AM Attachment (55 downloads)

Got this image 06/22/06 in late evening. Used the C9.25 w/ 2xBarlow (Meade Series 5000). 900 frames @ 10fps w/ToUcam Pro. I didnt subtract any bad frames yet, this was a quick process so stay tuned for better detailed images.

Notice one of the moons (?) transiting at the bottom.

VERY nice detail!

I look forward to the not so quick run through image, with this one as nice as it is already!

Wonderful job. I can't seem to get that kind of smooth appearance. I will look for the reprocessed image.

Hi Todd,

Very nice, detailed image. You caught Ganymede as it egressed from its transit in front of the North Polar Region.

I was out last night too and made a sketch just after Ganymede moved off the limb. You can see it here.

Folks are posting some really fine images in this forum. Good luck with your imaging.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for the info on Ganymede...I hadn't paused long enough to look it up yet. Seeing was average here last night (according to clear sky clock) but I've had better views in "average" seeing before. My images were very wavy. Could have been my location here in town; heat from highways and roofs.

I have several GB of data to go through so I should post some better pics soon.

Oh, and nice sketch!

Thank for the comments everyone, I will post details about processing later.
