***Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro or Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro - Which one is better???

Hi. I am looking for a rugged compact light weight binocular under $200. I wear glasses. Steiner 8x22 Predator Pro eye relief is only 10mm but I don't know what the Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro eye relief is.

Which one is better: Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro or Steiner 10x26 Predator Pro? I would like to hear from owners of these products. Is the 10x26 harder to keep steady? Which one has a wider field of vision?

nbx ,

Welcome to the forum !

Sadly , there is obviously an error in your first post above , which I presume will be self evident if you read it again !

10x magnification IS harder to hold steady than 8x , and from my experience , even more so with COMPACT binoculars , but MORE IMPORTANTLY , for eyeglass wearers , I'm afraid 10mm of eye relief is just not enough , regardless of the magnification .

Fields of view tend to be on the narrow side of respectable at best with COMPACT binoculars -- so the last thing you need is very short eye relief .

If I were you , I would look further than either of these two particular models .

Fellow member and good friend Erik D. has tried more compact binoculars than most who frequent this forum .

I'm sure that if he sees this thread , he will help you more than I probably have with this post .

Good luck -- and take your time before making a purchase .

Kenny
