Vixen Fine Adjustment Unit
      #1083891 - 08/08/06 03:22 PM

I just bought a Vixen Fine Adjustment Unit, primarly for use with my Manfrotto 055CLB and #115 head.
I can't find any data about max load for the unit. Somebody knows?

/Martin

I belive the Celestron is the Vixen Slow-Motion adpater. So if you can find specs for the Celestron, they might be the same. This is a more substantial adapter than the Orion, but it is not near the capabilities of the Bogen.

The Bogen is rated for 13#. Id' rate the Orion at about 3-4#. I'd guess the Vixen would be in the range of about 6-7#.

Ed,

Do you have a product number for the Bogen slow motion unit. I have the Orion and it will not hold my spotting scope when the barlow and 2" diagonal is attached.

Hi,Martin,

That is also a very nice setup.

I just saw a used Manfrotto/Bogen 410 head,Like EDZ has,go for AU $214.50,here on Ebay Australia,and the used 055 tripod went for AU $222.50,

Thats around US $335.00 Total,so you can see things of this quality, here in Australia are not cheap.

Regards.John
