I empathise with your pain. Thankfully, my 15x70s have stayed on their mount and tripod for the dozen or so times I've had them out since receiving them the end of July. Your indicent will ensure I double check things a tad more carefully from now on. Its also nice to now Celestron is honouring their warranty, even if it costs half the price of a new pair of 15x70s. My TV Pronto did the same thing to me once, except I was able to "catch" the Pronto with my face. A fat lip will heal cheaply enough, broken glass will not.
