I recently found myself in a antique shop and I came accross an interesting binocular. It was made by (or imported for) a company called Foch, it said it was made in France. I am thinking of buying this binocular and fixing the focus and diopter which were both extremely stiff amongst a few other minor problems.
Unfortunately, when I tried to find information online about this binocular, I came up with nothing.
My questions are:
1) Has anyone used a binocular from Foch?
2) Where might I find some information on the maker, or the binocular?
Thanks for the help.
Peace, Chris

if they're French, you searched in the wrong language Chris. I googled "Foch jumelles" and the first hit was this one: http://www.foch-optique.com/nos_jumelles.htm
They are in Nice. There's worse places in the world to fly to... Not sure if these are what you are looking for though.

How old was the binocular? As Marshal Foch commanded the French Army in WWI, it may date from that period. Just somebody cashing in on the name.
