14 August Daytime Jupiter 2 transit shadows and GR new
      #1093666 - 08/14/06 07:36 AM Attachment (66 downloads)

Hi everyone,

I captured Jupiter at 5:20 pm Central Standard Time ( South Australia) when the sun was still above the horizon. Got Io and Europa transit shadows and the GRS. Don't very often get 2 transit shadows= this is my first. Got a strong orange cast across Jupiter, I guess due to the sun still being up.

the blue-ish background gives it a very special effect. Nice!

Hi everyone,

Here is an image from an earlier AVI. The image is brighter and I think an improvement.

Wow! That looks much better, Lester. That's an awesome shot! The details inside GRS are great. The size is breathtaking! One of the best Jupiters I've seen indeed. What scope and camera you have used?

I hope to get another Double transit shadow this Monday, early evening if the weather is kind.
