M31 LRGB Core with LX200R 14 using SBIG STL11k
      #1102974 - 08/19/06 01:44 PM Attachment (109 downloads)

All

got a chance to image m31 core the other night using my LX200R 14 at F8: image is LRGB (5x6min for each channel) - 30x30x30x30 min. Used CCDstack and photoshop to create the final LRGB (still learning Photshop and color processing)- image was flat/noise calibrated.

Equipment used:
LX200R @ F8 (AP 0.75 FR)
Paramount ME
SBIG STL11000

The Fit file can be downloaded from my site as well as other images

Comments welcome - when colimated and supported on a good GEM the LX200R continues to perform well as a CCD imaging system for large format cameras

Nice dust lanes and sharp to the edge. I almost had a shot at M31 last night but at 3am it still was in the light dome. Maybe in a month or two.
