I was looking for this image on the net the other day after seeing it on the Today Show ( or my local news during the today show).
The image was definitely planned. This image was only visible to imagers located on a 6mile wide part of the earth, and the view only lasted a fraction of a second.
To be able to get this capture would require alot of planning, IMO.
